Our Bass and Multispecies Fishing Leagues are looking good and will be running full groups this year, so get your entry fees to our treasurer, Rick Olson of the Old Farts to reserve a spot.
We have had 15 teams say they want to fish the Duluth Area Bass League and at least as many multispecies teams. So see that you pay soon. We are working on sponsors right now, then we will see how many teams we have and determine how many multispecies groups to run this summer.

Here are just some of the opportunities that new teams have to win when they join our league.
MMTS Rookies of the Year; Big Fish plaques for any of the five categories; Weekly certificates - wildcard and big fish; Plus possibly win the night, place in the top three nightly, place in the top eight overall OR win overall as our MMTS Champions. All of our teams can win a certificate from one of our sponsors nightly.
You will get out fishing more than ever AND You win every night when you hang around and talk fishing with our anglers and nightly winners. You will be a much better angler before you know it. That's a guarantee!!

We now have 19 ways to win in 2006. We will be giving out plaques to the first 5 teams in Multispecies, first 3 in the Big Fish Pot, Rookies of the Year, Most Improved, and Sportsmanship. That's 11 pairs of plaques, one for each member of the winning teams. PLUS we will be giving out plaques for the largest Walleye, Northern, Muskies, Bass (Largemouth and Smallmouth), and Lake Superior fish (Lake Trout and Salmons). That's 5 more pairs of plaques for winning teams. That's 16 different opportunities for a plaque for each member of a team, plus we pay down 8 positions in Multispecies and 3 in Big Fish, which adds 3 more opportunities to win.

We have added a Big Fish Pot.. Please check the rules for the new option. Minnesota Multispecies fishing league rules will remain untouched, but all our fishing league teams now have the option of automatically scoring in a Big Fish Pot. This is total points for ONLY muskies, northern pike, bass, walleyes, and Lake Superior fish.
