Well we had a good year. Not as many teams as I had hoped for, so if you know of anybody who might be interested in fishing next year, give them the info.  I did get a couple of change's in this year, such as the draw nights which I thought worked out ok.  Next year, I would like to see a few more firm nights for Fish and Island Res, with the draw nights on other local lakes. The only thing I wish would have happened was a draw on Pike lake.  Next year the fee will be increased if more money is wanted at the end of the year and nightly payout. Doug and I did the math for this year, and we must have made and error somewhere that is why the end of year payout and nightly monies were not enough to cover everything, as planned sorry about that.  The scoring system worked out great with the addition of the rough fish points (sorry we did not include Dog Fish in the big fish pot).  Since not that many eyes were scored this year I would like to see the size increased for a scorable fish.

It was great being the prez for a year even though it is mostly a figure head position.  It was good to see the inner working's of the league and what is involved to run it for a year.  I want to thank Doug and the Comp committe for their time and effort, but manly I want to thank Doug for all the time and input that he puts into the league every year.  Without out him we would be lost.

I want to make sure that everybody Thanks Russ(marine Gen) and Scotty(Fisherman Corner ) for their support, so try and buy from these two vendors.

From what I hear, their might be some team changes next year with some teams breaking up some members looking for a new partner etc. it would great if we could get some new members invovled.

Hope to see as many teams at the party as possible have a good WINTER and see ya next year

Next year TGIF you are going down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Size inceased for a scorable walleye? What in the wide world of sports will that improve? The current scoring system has our state fish (a prize trophy in any size by many anglers BTW) in the same catagory as a perch or rock bass. 3 points??? There is a reason not many 'eyes are caught each year...we don't spend any time trying. For 3 points a perch or rockie is a much easier target, unless you like $#!& stained smelly fish, then you can usually pick some up if you are the first boat to the stink hole.

Maybe they should be worth 15pts minimum based on the difficulty to catch one in many lakes. Same theory as muskie scoring. They should at least be worth as much as a pike or bass...minimum walleye 7, bonus 15/30/50 and trophy worth 100pts. Maybe some incentive to try for 22"+ walleyes in the river anyway.

It might stop teams from bringing a 12" eye to receive a multi bonus.  Would not mind seeing the points changed and the size changed.  It just gives some teams more options.  There are teams that can kill the bass but bad on the eyes and vice verses.  Since you are so whopped up about this maybe you should post more often or get in on the discussions for next year.
