I thought since I got laid off, I would be out fishing more- Not the case. Have been getting out a little.
This week Hank, Griz, and I made it out Monday to a local lake. Got the day started at 8am. It was very slow in the morning. picking up only 2 bluegills, 1 crappie, and 1 pike. We spent the next few hrs exploring for some panfish, only to come up empty handed.
I promised to take my kids out to the fish house that evening for some walleye fishing, so I had to take off at 2pm. Once I left Hank and Griz got into the fish.(I must of been their Bad Luck for the day). They ended up getting 2- 6lb Pike and Griz got a nice 12 lb Pike. They also were able to get 12 nice Bluegills (1 almost a LB), and 3 nice crappies. Me and the Kids got a Goose Egg on the Walleyes.
New Years Eve, The Wife thought we should go out to the fishhouse for a while and see if we could pick up a few walleyes. We only ended up with 2 walleyes, but my youngest was able to catch her first ever Walleye. And She is still glowing from catching it.

Wasn't big by any means, but to her it was HUGE.
Wasn't a long night, Wasn't a Hot Bite night, but watching her eyes light up when she caught, made it a great night.
