2009- Weekly Updates  (United States)

Well the first week, I hope is no indication of what the weather is going to be like this season.

Out of 9 boats we were only able to bring one fish to the launch to register. Newcomers Bill and Larry(Subbed for Ed) were able to get one 22" Pike to bite.

Next week we will be on Maple Lake, and hopefully there will be some Pike willing to bite. 5 day forecast for Wednesday is 80 degree. Hopefully that hold true and we should have a great night on the lake.

Re: 2009- Weekly Updates  (United States)

Week Two started the same as week one- Wind, Wind, and more Wind.  Fishing was very tough out on Maple Lake this evening.

Team Liprippers and Team Lonestar were able to bring in a few fish to measure up. Team Liprippers was able to bring in a bag of Pike that netted 12 Pts. for the evening. Team Lonestar brought in mixed bag of 1 Pike and 4 Sunfish to net them 8 pts. for the evening.  Team Jeff followed in third place with a 18.5 walleye that tallied 5 pts. for the evening.

Big Fish for the night was this 33" Pike brought in by Team Liprippers:

With Bass opening this weekend- I'm sure were going to be seeing much higher scores next week.

Next week: Lake John, with the tournament to follow on Saturday. Spot's are still open- email: robbo@multispecies.com for info.

Re: 2009- Weekly Updates  (United States)

Week 3 brought the WCFC to Lake John-- The wind was not as bad as previous weeks, but there still was some wind.

Onto the fishing-- There was some nice fish brought in tonight- Well not all were brought in.  Team All-In found me on the lake half way through the night to register and release some nice fish.  They were able to find three dandy fish to register. First fish they registered was a nice 29 1/4 Pike giving them a 4 pt start to the night. Then they also gave me a 19 and 18.5" Bass to register and release on the water.  Those two fish gave them 5 and 4 pts. So, that's 4+5+4+1(for attendance) +2 (for multispecies) =16 pts and it's only half way into the night. They were able to bring three  more bas to the table at the of the night, to finish with a league record of 23 bag pts for the night--- Great job Ryan and Bob.

It was a close race for 2nd and 3rd place however, Chris and Andy were able to use a limit of bass plus the small fish for the evening, a 4" sunfish to take 2nd place with 14 pts. They did also bring a couple nice in a 17.5 and 16 1/4"-- Nice job Chris and Andy. Eric and Russ we're also able to bring a mixed bag of fish to get them fourteen PTs. for the evening, They we're also able to bring in the Big Fish for the night- a 30 1/4" Pike- I will add a picture of this one tommorrow.

Team Lonestar- League Leaders at the time brought in a limit of Bass to get them 13 pts. for the evening, there biggest catch of the evening was a 17 1/4" Bass.

Good Job to all League members this evening --- We will be fishing Lake John again this Sat. for our first tournament of the Year. Spots are open if anybody would like to join us.

Re: 2009- Weekly Updates  (United States)

6/3/09 WCFC ventured to Pelican Lake-

The night would end with 2 nice mixed bags of fishing coming in. With lots of fish to register, tallying the pts. would go into darkness. When the counting was over with, it was Spencer and Mitch  who would take 1st place with a bag of 26.5 pt. They were able to come in with a limit of bass (18" being there big bass), 3 sunfish that ave. 8.5", a crappie, and they tied for biggest roughfish for the night a 10 3/4" bullhead.

Coming in 2nd with 22 pts. was Eric and Russ. They also came in with a limit of bass (19.5" big Bass), a crappie and a sunfish.

Big Fish for the night went to Ryan of team All-In with this 34.5" Pike, and Eric with his 19.5" Bass
